NOT SO KNOTTY

A GRAPHIC, NAUTICAL LOOK FOR NEW AMERICAN CUISINE

HOUSED IN A 100 YEAR OLD BARN, THE RESTAURANT AT AMERICAN BEECH WAS INSPIRED BY A SUN BLEACHED, NAUTICAL PALETTE. GRAY AND WHITE STRIPED FLOORS AND CUSHIONS ARE COMPLIMENTED BY BEECH WOOD ACCENTS. OVER HALF A MILE OF ROPE WAS USED IN THE ARCHITECTURE AND ART IN THE SPACE, CREATED BY THE BHDM OFFICE. NAUTICAL ROPE AND STRIPES INFLUENCE THE PALETTE AND ARCHITECTURAL DETAILS, AND THE USE OF THE AMERICAN BEECH WOOD WAS A NOD TO BOTH THE NAME-SAKE TREE AT THE CENTER OF THE OUTDOOR BAR AND FIREPLACE, AND A TAKE ON BOATING TEAK.
